Before shaving. Avoid shaving immediately after you get up in the morning. Your face can  be ´puffy´ after sleep, so allow skin to settle down to facilitate a closer shave. What’s more, if you’re about to wield a blade it’s better to be wide awake!

Never shave dry skin as this will cause razor burn. Water causes hairs to expand and soften, making them much easier to cut so wet the beard with plenty of warm water. To help lift stubble, remove razor-clogging dead skin cells and to prevent ingrown hairs use a mild facial scrub to exfoliate skin before shaving.

Massage a little shave cream into the beard to soften hair and help increase razor glide.
